La Aurora 107 Ecuador Toro
La Aurora has been rolling cigars in the Dominican Republic since 1903. The 107 Ecuador Toro was released to mark their 107th year — and it's one of the few anniversary cigars that actually earned the occasion rather than just commemorated it.
The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, dark and oily, which is rarer than it sounds. Most Connecticut Shade runs light and creamy. This one runs the other direction — deep cedar up front, espresso through the middle, cracked pepper on the finish. Smooth but not soft. Complexity that builds rather than fades.
This is not a cigar you'll find on sale. It doesn't go on markdown. We sourced it at below-retail and we're passing that directly to you.
